How Do I Stop Outlook Trying To Send An Email Install I Copied

Every week or so I open Apple Mail and my Sent folder starts updating (spinning) and wont stop for hours.

It cripples my Apple Mail and I have to start using me.com for correspondance.

Once it stops this time, I am going to look again for the email and try to delete it from the Sent mailbox.

Has anyone else had this problem Anything I can do to fix it Definately frustrating.

Upon realizing my mistake I tried to stop the process via the Activity panel which seemed to work.

Now however I am unable to send mail, trash anything from Drafts or the Inbox.

I cant even quit Mail and the activity icon in the sent folder never quits.

I should add that I have treid trashing the Outbox from the User Library Mail Mailboxes folder but that didint help.

You could use Ernies suggestion in the other thread posted above.

Another way is to disconnect your internet connection, open Mail and let the message fail to send.

I had deleted the Outbox in the Mail folder in the User Library to no avail.

Your suggestion of disconnecting from the internet did provide a glimmer of hope as the flawed message appeared in a Recovered folder and I was able to delete it.

After that I could delete items in in the Drafts folder and was hopeful but unfortunately I still could not get any mail from the Mobile Me servers.

Before pursuing a complete elimination of Mail and a reinstall I copied the Mailbox folder from the User Library to a secure location and just in case exported all my mbox files from really vital mailbox storage on my Mac.

Hah Mail booted right up and downloaded todays email, an auspicious start.

I then just imported my old mbox folders and recreated all my old mailboxes.

Mail will try to send using another mail account fail Now you can edit the mail or delete it.

Every time I open mail it immediately tries to start sending over and over in other words it keeps opening a new message and sending it.
